![]() ![]() If you hit an enemy with Shadowshot with ranks in Poison Burst/Shadowling Ammo, will poison damage and a chance to explode still apply to the primary shot only, primary shot and shards that come from it, or neither, and is there still a chance slain enemies will become Shadowling bats? I'll try to test this myself when I get another rank, unless anyone has the skills in question, a lot of mana and the time/desire to find out. I am, however, unsure if you'll get passive benefits from a nonstandard attack such as Shadowshot. I've had mobs explode and turn into Shadowling bats. I have both skills and they both work simultaneously. If I'm correct that means this skill will ruin your ability to amass an army. Think and plan properly and your misery will be minimized at higher NG+++ difficulties (if you go that way).DO NOT GET Poison burst: It looks tempting with poison damage but I believe it will not proc your shadowling ammo to spawn minions. But if you want more punch on pistols boost strength to get more physical damage. Also make sure your pistols have elemental attacks to boost the elemental damage rather than the physical portion of the wepons damage (which is probably why your pistols seem to not be doing much). Also as a summoner you will likely be stacking much more statistic points into focus so dual wielding would be more preferable for the executes. If you can find one(or two if you want to dual weild) that have stuns that is a bonus for summoning engineer. I enjoy saving my basilisk eyes to put on them. Pistols are pea shooters typically and you will need to rely on various statistics that come with them. If you want to use guns that will be fine. They are all viable even IF your goal is to make the most unviable class in the TL2 universe. You really need to put some serious thought into your character and decide WHAT you want it to be. Outlander has skills in its trees to increase the gun damage but they are definitely NOT specific to the class only. Use diablo 2 rules also if your a veteran player with loads of gear options and only put points in other stats when gear/wepons requires it to equip (should you not meet level req) and sink the rest into either foc(for ele) or str(for phys). Figure out what specific type of damage you want to be dealing (since nothing is immune to any resist check, yet.) and focus on that specific statistic for the most part. I know I mostly stated pistols above but it also applies for canons and shotgonnes as well (though you cant dual wield them) Shotgonnes usually have similar requirements as pistols while canons require more strength to use.
